Electronic cigarettes comprise of several components which make the functionality of these cigarettes effective. Some of the main components include cartridge, battery and atomizer; these components are described below.
Cartridge, the foremost part of the electronic cigarettes is used to contain the nicotine flavors in the e cigarettes. These flavors are the smoke producers; the smoke which the electronic cigarettes generate is created by the vapor produced by the flavors contained by the cartridges. This vapor is the replacement of the conventional smoke produced by the cigarettes smoke traditionally in our every day lives; and this is the substance which makes these cigarettes the most effective to be used today by men and women all over the world. So, the cartridges act as the mouth piece of the electronic cigarettes. The nicotine flavors present in these cartridges is in the form of solution which is also called e-juice or e-liquid. There are diverse flavors provided in these cartridges; these flavors include menthol, tobacco menthol, tobacco, cherry, vanilla, chocolate and a few more. The levels of nicotine can also be decided by the smoker himself; there are diverse levels of nicotine as well which can be chosen by the smoker himself. There are five (5) to six (6) different levels of nicotine available according to different brands of electronic cigarettes. With nicotine, there are flavors listed above; they form a solution with the blend of water and propylene glycol. Most of the time nicotine acts as the main ingredient and the flavors are the additional constituents.
Battery is the second foremost part of the electronic cigarettes. The battery is used to power the ions made of lithium; these are the rechargeable ions and are present in almost of these products. The type, size and frequency of the battery determine the life of the products. This component in the cigarette is said to be the largest of all the components in the electronic cigarettes.
Atomizer is the heating element present in the electronic cigarettes; this is the most important component of the e-cigarettes. The atomizer has the task of converting the nicotine solution into vapors; this is the function which makes the atomizer the most important component of the new technology cigarettes. Most of the time, the atomizers are in the operating condition for a period of one month and need to be replaced after a month’s time.
The electronic cigarettes works on the sensors built in the devices. When the user inhales the constituents, the built in sensor detects the air flow and the heating element is activated. After this the nicotine solution is converted to vapor which is inhaled by the smoker. There are certain brands available in the market in which this system of vapor conversion is manual; there is a button present in these cigarettes which is pressed for the vapor generation. The manual devices contain the additional circuitry in which an LED displays the red glow of the original tobacco cigarette.
